As part of UUCA's "Arts and the Spirit" week-long festival of the arts, this Sunday morning worship gives thanks for the human capacity for creativity. Central to our understanding of ourselves in the universe is our power to be active participants in reflecting and shaping the world. Where there is Art there is Life.

"Rock Our World First Friday"

A rock band will be featured in a service of music and reflections on the theme - "Who Are You, Really?" Then, as part of the Arts & Spirit Arts Festival, at 8 p.m. there will be a Coffee House featuring music and performances from "DC Poets Against the War".

"Cracks in the Goddess"

We'll observe Mother's Day with a look at all who nurture us, no matter their gender, and what message an ancient goddess offers. Don't forget to bring a flower from a garden or store to exchange in a UU community ceremony.

This Memorial Day weekend, we give thanks for the lives of those who no longer walk among us, and consider the nature of grieving.

 

 

 

 

Audiotapes and CDs of Sunday Services and Videotapes- Tapes of the services are available in the library for check-out in addition to VHS videotapes of other church events. The library is just down the hall from the Sanctuary, across from the coat room. You’ll find the tapes in the card file in front of the window; to sign one out, just follow the easy instructions.
