promotes environmental awareness and activism nationally, regionally, and locally. We are seeking certification as a Green Sanctuary from the UU Ministry for the Earth by completing the projects listed below.

Global Justice
Global Justice encourages changes in U.S. consumer habits to support sustainable agricultural practices worldwide. We sell Equal Exchange Fair Trade coffee, tea and chocolate once a month during Fellowship Hour.

Global Justice is developing a program to sponsor a human rights monitor for indigenous groups opposing destructive gold mining and other practices in Guatemala.
Global Justice meetings are held first Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9:00 pm

Compassion for Creatures
Compassion for Creatures recognizes the interdependence of all beings and that every form of life has value regardless of its worth to human beings. This group works to instill the recognition that to own, manage, and use natural resources comes with the duty to prevent harm to the web of life.
Compassion for Creatures meetings are held on the second Tuesdays 7:30 pm.
